BOOM! There is nothing, and I mean nothing, like the tone and volume an earlier Gibson Jumbo, as in the J-50 and J-45 models. When you pick up a truly great one, start to play it, the very first note just grabs you in the gut and you take off from there and it's hard to stop. That’s exactly what we have here, a 1952 Gibson J-50, having the rarer natural finish as opposed to the more common sunburst of a J-45. Sounds like thunder and feels so nice and crisp thanks to a really nice neck reset and an excellent refret, both by parties unknown, plays like all day long and half the night. No cracks anywhere either, just a bit of great-looking natural paying wear, over sixty-five years or so, and a small re-closing of the back seam. Tuners thankfully replaced with exact-looking repros that work great, which the originals did not. If you’ve ever held a really great one of these I don’t have to tell you anything more; this is just it. If you haven’t, this is your chance; one this great is not likely to come up again so soon. And it’s even got its original brown Gibson hard shell case. $5795 w/ohsc
