Total work horse, player’s grade ’50s Gibson dreadnought! 1953 Gibson J-50 that’s been played hard, and well loved. Sloped-shoulder ’50s Gibson dreadnoughts have been played by all the greats, and have become the benchmark for what a big-bodied acoustic should sound like. Here’s your chance to get one for half of the cost! It’s been repaired, but sounds and plays just like a collector. The action is great up to the 7th or 8th fret, then gets a little high but there is room to come down on the saddle. Overall in fair cosmetic shape, but is a real dream to play. A few back braces have been re-glued, a new rosewood bridge was crafted and installed, some overspray around the new bridge, new tuners installed and a few back cracks have been repaired and cleated. Comes with a modern hardshell case.
