1961 Gibson Johnny Smith Sunburst

1961 Gibson Johnny Smith in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear throughout the instrument. This guitar is in all original condition except for the tailpiece, which is from a vintage Gibson L5 and similar in style to the original. It has a solid carved spruce top, maples sides, bookmatched flamed maple arched back, and a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and pearloid inlays. It features a great sounding floating mini-humbucker in the neck position. The neck measures 1 11/16” at the nut and has a depth of 0.76” at the first fret and 1.46” at the twelfth fret. The guitar has a 25” scale and weighs 6.10 lbs. This top of the line, first year Johnny Smith is a fine sounding spectacular looking guitar. It comes with the original brown hardshell case.
