1962 Gibson L-5CES Sunburst

1962 Gibson L-5CES in excellent condition with no history of major repairs. Featuring a carved solid spruce top, one piece laminated maple back and sides, a beautiful lightly flamed maple neck, bound ebony fingerboard, and two crystal clear PAFs, this florentine cutaway L-5 is a jazzers dream. The untouched PAFs measure 8.77k at the bridge and 7.53 at the neck. The only noteworthy work done to this guitar in its 62 year history is a light finish touch up on the bass side bout where a previous owner had worn through the finish spending countless hours enjoying this wonderful L-5. The neck is 1 11/16" wide at the nut while the profile is 0.84" at the 1st fret and 1.09" at the 12th fret- surprisingly slim for a Gibson archtop of this period, potentially indicating this was a special order. Weight is 7.66 lbs. Comes with original case.
