1950 Gibson L-48 Sunburst, Excellent, Hard, $1,695.00

We had this Gibson L-48 here about twenty years ago, loved it as did its purchaser, and now it’s back, to find a new loving home. It’s an earlier version with a really nice solid spruce top (as opposed to the later ones with laminated tops), maple back and mahogany sides. Its exact date is a very educated guess but we’re betting that we’re not off by more than one year. All original right down to the finish, frets (in nearly unused condition), Brazilian rosewood bridge, original pickguard and tailpiece in great shape, and slight later (and much better) Kluson Deluxe tuners, thankfully with new buttons. All just set up here in our own workshop and ready to go. Comes with American-made hard shell case. $1695 w/hsc
