This is one of the first cool vintage guitarsI acquired when we first went into business in the 70s. It needed a neck set and the fingerboard extension lowered, which is all now completed and over the ensuing years, and the thousands of guitars we bought and sold, I just never got this one out of the closet. I’ve had it about 45 years, finally in my old age just had all that done. This is the first year of the advanced model and one of the rare X braced examples. It has a deep dark tone, which I am sure will open up with playing, it had not been played forever when I acquired it so long ago. At this point, it has had everything done to make it a great playing guitar. Worth mentioning is a repaired hairline crack to the side of the fingerboard on the top, which has not changed in the time that I’ve owned it and is very solid. It has a couple of mismatched tuners. The case is a very cool late 40s early 50s Gibson Brown and pink case, one of my favorites. Superficially it looks wonderful but like so many of these it is coming apart at the seams in several places, although fairly stable.
