1991 Gibson Les Paul Classic Translucent Purple

Summary: The Gibson Les Paul Classic was developed in 1990 with the idea of making a Les Paul that resembled the old school 1960 Classic! This baby features a rare Translucent Purple finish and the original brown Gibson hardshell case.

Body: Solid body single cutaway Les Paul with a mahogany body & a flame maple cap. The top is fully bound and this guitar has a rare Translucent Purple finish.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, block inlays, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 1960’s style neck profile.

Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, 2 humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, cream plastics, Gibson Deluxe tuning keys

Cosmetics: This instrument small dings & scratches on the body and you can tell that this baby has been played. The frets are still in pretty good shape although they do show some wear, but they have some life left in them. There is one big ding near the tone control that stands out but only when you get up close to the instrument. The back of this guitar shows some scratching & buckle rash. There is also evidence of pitting on the stop tail piece. All wear is pretty normal for a guitar that was played and loved from the early 1990’s.

Playability: We set this instrument up with 10’s and it is ready to be played and loved again. The action is low and the truss rod is fully functioning. This guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard.
