Summary: This 1995 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus
has some minor wear but is in fantastic player condition, all original and
complete with the original hard-shell case. Featuring a figured maple top with translucent
amber finish - this one has the "LPCP" written under the bridge pickup. Designed with
the 1960 Sunburst Les Paul as the starting point, the Classic boasts many
features that are notable to that era of Les Paul production, such as a '50s
headstock shape, deep dish top carve, ABR-1 bridge, and a slimmer 1960 neck
Body: As with the best Les Pauls crafted since the
early ’50s, the Les Paul Classic Plus starts with the legendary tonewood
pairing of a solid carved Grade-AA maple top glued to a Grade-A mahogany body.
Marrying maple’s clarity and definition to mahogany’s richness and depth
produces a tonal complexity that no single-wood guitar has ever matched.
Neck: Its resonance and sustain
are only further enhanced by the deep-set quarter-sawn mahogany neck with
17-degree back-angled headstock. Optimum
playability is ensured by your choice of rounded ’60s neck profile and a
12-inch fingerboard radius for choke-free string bending. The fretboard is bound with trapezoidal
inlays. The guitar’s 22-fret fingerboard
is made from baked maple, a heat-treated hardwood that offers a clear tone and
extreme durability. The nut width is
1.675” and the scale length is 24 ¾”.
Gibson loads the
Les Paul Classic Plus with a pair of its hottest humbucking pickups. The 496R in the neck position is wound with
42-AWG wire like a traditional PAF for rich, warm, vocal-like tones, but
carries a ceramic magnet for enhanced punch and clarity. The 500T in the bridge pickup is a more
formidable beast altogether, wound with finer 43-AWG wire to pack the coils to
the max and built with a ceramic magnet for scorching leads, endless sustain
and willing feedback. A pairing of the Tune-o-matic
bridge and stopbar tailpiece ensures solid sustain and accurate intonation. The tuners are Gibson Deluxe with green
Cosmetics: This les Paul is in great shape but does have
some minor cosmetic blemishes. There are
a few small chips in the finish around the edge of the headstock and some
discoloration on the sides of the headstock where the finish has changed color
a bit from being on a rubber guitar hanger.
There is a bit of fretwear but it still plays great and there is plenty
of height left in the frets. There is
also a chip in the body toward on the back end of the guitar. (see pictures)
Playability: This guitar has been
professionally inspected set up and restrung by our in house guitar tech with a
new set of 10s. The action is low and
the neck is straight. The neck feel very
smooth and it is a really fantastic playing guitar.

Case: It ships in its original black Gibson
hard-shell case with grey plush interior.
