1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom Cherry Sunburst w/ohsc

Summary: This 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom has a gorgeous flame maple top with deep cherry burst finish and gold hardware. It has the stock Bill Lawrence "circuit board" pickups, called HB-R and HB-L "The Original" and Grover tuners. This Guitar has been fully inspected, received a pro setup by our in house guitar tech and restrung with a new set of 10s. It ships in its original hardshell case.

Body: Solid mahogany body with carved flame maple top, cherry sunburst finish, multi-ply w/b/w binding of front and back and no pickguard from the factory.

Neck: Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl block inlays, split diamond inlays, 1.675” nut width and 24.75” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: It has stock Bill Lawrence "circuit board" pickups, called HB-R and HB-L "The Original", gold hardware, Grover tuners, non-wired Nashville bridge, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes, 2 tones and gold knobs.

Cosmetics: This guitar has been played so it shows some minor pickwear on the body, some buckle rash, some light scratches around the knobs and pickup selector, a ding in the shape of a cats-eye around the arm rest area (pictured), some light scuffs around the sides, some small dings around the headstock and light scratches around the face of the headstock from string changes. There are some hairline cracks in the binding at the fret ends but it’s pretty minor and strictly cosmetic. The output jack plate is a little bent but functions just fine. 2 of the tuners look like they where mounted slightly crooked from the factory… maybe it was someone’s first day on the job but it doesn’t affect tuning at all and is only noticeable from the back.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: It appears that the pickups may have been swapped out at one time because the solder joints have been altered but the original pickups are in the guitar now.
