Description

Summary: This guitar began life sometime in 1978 as a Les Paul Deluxe. Over time, it acquired a number of changes and became the hot rod you see now. Pretty much everything has been changed out (see below for details), but the bones are there and going strong. It sounds great and plays well, and definitely has its own unique mojo.

Body: Solid body electric guitar with a mahogany body & a maple cap.

Neck: 3 piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard & block inlays. The frets have no major dings or divits but they do show some wear...

Pickups/Hardware: These pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio's and this guitar features 2 toggle switches that have been added to the guitar. This guitar has dunlop strap locks installed. The toggle switch cap is in pretty rough shape and may need to be replaced in the near future.

Cosmetics: This guitar shows lots of wear from years of use that is consistent with a vintage guitar from the 1970's. There are several dings and scratches on the top of the guitar adding to this classic instruments' character & mojo. This instrument is missing the pickguard. There is lots of wear around the edges of the instrument but no structural damage. The back of the guitar has lots of belt buckle rash & several scratches & dings.

Playability: This guitar plays great - there are no dead spots or buzzing & the action is low.

Mods/Repairs: This instrument has been routed out for humbucking pickups. The tuners have been replaced with Grover tuning keys. The bridge & tailpiece are also aftermarker replacement parts. This instrument has 2 toggle switches that have been installed.

Weight: 10 lbs, 9 oz.
