thanks!

I have personally examined the instrument described below.

We certify the instrument described below is, in our opinion, a Gibson Les Paul Model electric guitar, made in the year 1956.

Description: Serial number: not visible. This guitar was sold AS-IS by Gruhn Guitars. Upon examination, we note the following modifications and condition issues: with the exception of the peghead face, this guitar has been non-professionally refinished, the tuners have been replaced (e.g., and it is evident that a set of Grover Rotomatic tuners was previously installed), the original tune-o-matic bridge has been replaced with a modern after-market bridge (e.g., of different appearance than the original part), the pickup selector switch indicator ring, pickguard and pickguard mounting hardware are all missing, and one pickup bobbin is cracked. The instrument is playable but would benefit greatly from a fingerboard re-fret and bridge replacement. In other respects, this instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with single cutaway mahogany body with maple cap, stop-bar tailpiece, two P-90 single-coil pickups with cream-color plastic covers, four gold-color bonnet-shape control knobs top-mounted at lower treble bout, three position toggle-type pickup selector switch, one-piece mahogany neck with adjustable truss-rod, classic “open book” peghead shape, mother-of-pearl “Gibson” logo peghead inlay, gold-color silk-screened “Les Paul Model” peghead logo, two-ply bell-shaped black plastic truss-rod cover, 22-fret Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid-shape inlays, and single-ply cream-color edge binding on fingerboard and body top. The instrument is currently housed in a modern replacement hard-shell case with textured black vinyl exterior covering and grey plush interior lining.
