Description

-SOLD-Nice double cut Les Paul Jr. with zero fade to the original cherry red finish – a hard thing to find on usually well-traveled Jr’s. Finish under the pick guard has the same shading as the rest of the body. 7 lbs, 1 oz, with a perfectly shaped 1958 style neck profile, this one is ready to play. This guitar is originally from Texas. How do I know? The long time owner I bought it from years ago was robbed - so he stamped his drivers # license in the back of the guitar – ouch!.......but great for ID purposes! Other than that, and some worming to the back above the control cavity, this is a clean example. Face shows only the faintest of checking, and a few nicks & dings. Back of the neck is glossy showing little use, the original frets look almost untouched. Sides show a few dings from use, but no wear or case rub, and the finish is beautiful. There are always lots of Jr’s on the market, but it’s hard to find unfaded examples. Replaced nut with original nut included, chipped at the low E slot. Other than the obvious stamp issue on the back, it’s hard to find vintage guitars with this clarity to the original finish & pristine fretboards. Original cardboard case included. Bank wire transfer only.
