Junior wanted to be a guitar god in 1955 and Mom bought him his first electric. But Junior couldn't wrap his fingers around the "F" chord, so Junior's Junior went under the bed and stayed there for decades. The case fell apart (it was cardboard) but the guitar has survived in extraordinary 9/10 condition. It has some light checking and a few scrapes and scratches but not much. There is no player wear not even to the original frets. Maybe the big fat neck made it hard for his 13 year old fingers but you aren't 13 (any more) and you like a chunky neck. But you don't like heavy guitars and this one falls at the lower end for these at 7.25 lbs. The single P90 is a screamer but it will calm down by rolling off the tone pot. Time was you could buy these for $4000 but that ship has sailed and everything is way up. Listen to a piece of advice...buy the cleanest one you can find if you're looking for an investment. Buy the most beat up one you can find if you're a player and you don't care about the value down the road. This is an investment grade example but I'd have no problem bringing it to a gig...just not that bar where they throw stuff at you if you suck. The tuners are changed to repro exact match Klusons. The originals are in the case but the buttons have deteriorated and will need replacing if you want them back on. The case is modern TKL.
