Bow down before the mighty Junior! Gibson may have first brainstormed this guitar as a way to compete with Fender's cheaper offerings but in the late 50's they couldn't make a bad guitar even if they tried. This has the trademark beefy neck to match the beefy tone of the P-90. It's also very rich sounding and single pickup guitars always have great overtones. The pickup is correct but the harness was changed. It now CTS pots and a nice RS capacitor. The intonation is pretty spot on too even with the stock wraparound. Gibson had that pretty well sorted out by the time this one left the factory. Frets and neck angle are good too so you can adjust the action to taste. There was a break and the headstock but it has been expertly repaired. The logos on the headstock and the whole headstock were over-sprayed too. It must have been repaired immediately following the break as it is barely visible unless viewed at a certain angle. We've got a nice and sturdy modern case to keep it safe in its further travels. 6 lbs 10 oz.
