2003 Gibson Les Paul R9 Sunburst

In 2003 Gibson made a run of Les Pauls with Brazilian rosewood fingerboards. There were around 500 of them made and they have become a sought after example given the difficulty in moving anything with any Brazilian rosewood in it across borders. This guitar was bought as an investment piece. It has not been played for more than a few hours and has spent most of the past 17 years in storage. It has a gloss finish and is perfect-not a mark on it. The only thing worth noting is that the red finish has bled into the bindings. This is not unusual. As it is played, it will diminish. All of the paperwork that came with the guitar is here. The pickguard was never installed but is in the case. The COA is here as is the manual, hang tags and a truss rod wrench. This is as close as you'll come to a brand new 2003.
