I got a phone call a few days ago from a great friend and he asked me, "Hey Pimp. Would you mind driving over to a guy's house and picking up a small collection of guitars for me?" I, of course said, "Absolutely- no problem at all," because it wasn't very far and I could listen to my stories on the way out and back. After all, chasing guitars is one hell of a way to spend a day, right? So, the next day, it was off I went down a sunny highway.

I arrived to the gentleman's house and the guitars were laid out in an orderly fashion. All of the paperwork and accessories were on display and it was quite the sight to see (I do remember the days when I would buy a Peavey Mystic with no case behind a dumpster in the back of a Radio Shack, for Pete's sake.) So, I looked everything over, gave my boy a call, the transfer was sent and the next thing I knew, I was loading the Death Star up with boxes and heading home. Easy peasey...

After returning home, I called my guy and gave him a "front porch with a beer" report on the day and on how things went. All of the guitars looked exceptional and the packages were all complete. That's when the surprise came at me. "Hey man. You take the R9," he said. I was quiet because I wasn't sure I had heard him right, but as I started to ask what he had said, he broke in. "You heard me- take the R9 and I'll get the others when I see you in Dallas." To catch me without words is a huge rarity if you know me, but that's exactly where I was in that moment.

Hence the title, gestures of kindness and unselfishness are becoming rarer and rarer in these turbulent days. In fact, their rarity has made them become more important than ever when it comes to us all getting along in brotherhood and surviving the battle, side by side. I'm not trying to be preachy- I'm merely pointing out that a small act of kindness and friendship can have a much larger effect than one could ever know. Looking out for others doesn't have to be noisy or flashy- often times, the greatest gifts are given without a sound and such was the case here. So, the the fine fellow that cut me in on his deal and let me buy this guitar, I say, "We dem boys."

This Les Paul is in collector quality condition and exceptionally clean. I found one small patch of very, very light belt markings, but you'll have to look for them. I believe this guitar was more "collected" than played and that's cool too if you're in the market for a really clean R9 Brazil. The guitar will be shipped double-boxed for extra protection. Please take a look at the photos and call, email or PM with any questions.
