2011 Murphy Les Paul R9 7 lbs 14 ounces

You Les Paul guys love the lightweights. So, here's the lightest one I've had in a while (maybe ever) and it sounds pretty great too. It's a Murphy aged 2011 and it's one of those esoteric burst tones (bourbon?) and it sounds pretty great. It's all original but the previous owner upgraded the just OK Burstbuckers to a set of Throbaks which, to my ear, is a big improvement. I put this up agains a half dozen PAF equipped guitars and it held its own in all positions. Oh, yeah...The Weight (I pulled into Nazareth, was feeling bout half past dead). It weighs all of 7 pounds and 14 ounces and is perfectly balanced. It's tough to know if it has any wear since its an aged guitar but it shows no fret wear so I'm figuring that all the wear is Murphy's doing. It's fairly lightly aged-checking but no wear through the finish. Neck is big 59 shape. The top is very nice. The board is as dark as a Brazilian.
