Description

OK, pay attention-lots of non original stuff here but a great player grade SG that doesn't look like a player grade SG. First, it was refinished by Lay's and the finish is probably better than the original was. The sideways trem is gone and a stop tail is in its place. Neck profile is kind of unusual-it starts off the size of a 59 at .88" at the first fret but it pretty much stays the same all the way to the 12th, only going to. 89".
Not your typical 61 for sure. I think someone had a custom neck made for it. The work is perfect if it was re-necked. Pickups are early patents out of another SG (same as late PAF-purple windings, black leads) with nickel covers. Repro parts: Bridge, tailpiece, pickup rings, truss cover. Original parts: Pick guard, back plate, knobs, harness. Tuners are Klusons from a '65. And, it weighs just 5 and a half pounds. Great player, great tone for a good price. Late 60's case. Pix coming.
