A matched pair of mid 1950s Gibson Les Paul Standard backplates. One for the pots & caps, & the matching toggle plate. These are from a '56 to '59 conversion guitar decades ago. Based on the guys who purchased "conversions" from me back in the 1970s, these would be from the one owned by Kevin Cronin of REO, maybe Joey Molland from Badfinger, or least likely, Gary Duncan of the old Quicksilver Messenger Service. Kevin Cronin bought the last one, which had been a rare center seam, very flamey, dark burst. I have had these stashed away for decades, in case I needed some for my own guitars. I am now selling parts that I bought over decades for restorations. these have not been previously offered for sale until this month. The "grain lines" are clearly visible when in hand, but per usual, hard to show in pictures!
