Description

1958 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop in very good condition. This is a previously uncirculated guitar that comes to us from the son of the original owner. As indicated by the serial number it was made early in 1958. It features one piece mahogany body with maple top, an excellent feeling neck with original small frets, two all original and untouched PAF humbuckers, no wire ABR one bridge and stop tailpiece, and single line Kluson deluxe tuners with original buttons. The weight is 8lbs 12oz. The guitar is original with the exception of the G string tuner and the switch tip (the remaining piece of the original is in the case). The finish is all original and shows some greening and wear from regular playing. It has taken on a beautiful patina that really gives this one personality. The back and neck are stained dark and in great condition. There is some fret wear on the first three frets and some fingerboard wear however it plays great all over the neck with low action. The neck is the quintessential perfect 50s Gibson profile. round and comfortable with a nice handful. A rare chance to own a one-owner guitar! Please call the shop or email for full details.
