Description

This 1960 Les Paul Standard is early enough to have most of the 59 features. Bonnet knobs, older red dye faded finish, double white PAFs. The neck is medium slim and very comfortable. This guitar has been known as the "Josh Burst" apparently because it was played by Josh Smith (it was played by me too but it isn't called the Charlie Burst). Joe Bonamassa is a previous owner (his tag is still on the case). Weight is around 8.5 lbs. Frets are original. Tuner tips are replaced. This guitar had a short Maestro trem on it at some point and was repaired (and not very well) using triangle MOP inlays. I had Jim Weyandt (Jam City Guitars) replace the MOP with flame maple and it looks way better now (see photos #4 and #5). It is a killer player with a monster bridge pickup and a very musical and sweet sounding neck pickup. Original 5 latch case. The video of Josh Smith playing it was done before I had the inlays changed (while it was for sale at Guitarpoint in Germany). More photos coming.
