1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition ALPINE WHITE FINISH in all-original and excellent condition, with black Gibson hardshell case, serial number 83469535. Firstly, this is a KILLER PLAYER when it comes to Les Pauls. These original pickups are really really strong - putting out super warm clean tones and some really stomping overdriven sounds. Really nice neck carve - rounded and full, but NOT ballbat huge. Mahogany neck, vintage headstock angle, and a really attractive and very dark Rosewood fingerboard. Frets are in great shape - lots of life left - just some little divoting on the first 3 or so frets from open chords. This is a super comfortable Les Paul to play - and great sounding - and a nice weight at 9 pounds 6 ounces. This ALPINE WHITE has aged very nicely to a really warm and creamy yellow. The photos actually make the guitar look 'whiter' than it is - it is CREME YELLOW, make no mistake. I took one flash shot to give you an idea of the actual color. The yellowed ALPINE WHITE looks very very nice next to the guitar's binding, and super attractive next to the original Gold hardware. Condition wise, she's excellent: some light scratches, a few dings with visible mahogany, and some fading of the gold hardware - we'd call her an 8 out of 10. There must have been a decal on the back of the guitar, because where the white has yellowed, you can see the outline of a skull and the band name: Damnit Jim (that's pretty damn funny, actually). This is one of the cooler and more unique Pauls in our shop right now - the Yellowed White is really neat. Please call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description - more photos available. Thanks.<
