Description

Sometimes a guitar or bass can display the true majesty of Mother Nature. Take this Les Paul for example. It has one of the most striking Maple tops we have seen in a good minute and it's not because it has thick, finger-width flames all over it. Instead, it displays what we like to refer to as a "peek-a-boo" top that varies wildly depending on the angle you view it. Now that's the true beauty of wood if you're a fan of such things and we hope we have properly shown the many faces of this guitar in all her glory.

The twin Burstbucker Pros have a little attitude about them and are as snarly as you would expect. That said, they clean up nicely with a full, warm tone when you roll off the volume knob. The neck is also full in the left hand and quite comfortable to play. No skinny, '60s profile here- you know you're holding on to a weapon of mass destruction as soon as you throw this guitar across your shoulder.

This Standard Plus is very clean, having only a couple of pintip dings on the face and a few very light surface scratches on the back. It has been well cared-for and as we all know, the late-'90s to early- 2000s Les Pauls were some of the finest ever produced by Gibson. Now to the case. The one this guitar came in was not original and just hammered with a broken latch. So we called in the services of this new TKL case (like you would get from Gibson) and the package is now complete.

The guitar has been detailed, set up by our master luthier, El Jefe and restrung with fresh strings. It's ready to go, straight out of the box, so please take a look at the photos, let us know if you have any questions and as always, we thank you for stopping by!
