Once and a while a guitar comes through that has been lovingly played for years and years that has that smooth comfortable feel like an old pair of jeans. This 1960 has the sought after combination of a double pickup model still with the large 1959 style neck profile. That combo was only done for a short time in 1960. Sunburst Finish, Dual Pickups, wrap around tail piece, 1346027 dated pots, pickups are out of phase in the middle position, featherweight at 5.85 pounds, and a neck with a .90" 1st fret & .97" 12th fret depth. Fair vintage condition displaying tons of nicks, dings, scratches and play wear. There are some changes including a pro refret with new nut, new tailpiece, strap buttons, tuners, and neck pickup base plate. There is a small body stress crack near the bottom strap button that was repaired years ago. No headstock cracks or repairs. All in all a players Melody Maker from Gibson's Golden Age with the large neck carve.
