2009 Gibson Mike Bloomfield '59 Les Paul "Sunburst"

Mike Bloomfield's playing has continued to inspire guitarists around the world for generations. His work with the Butterfield Blues Band and Electric Flag, as well as collaborations on seminal Dylan recordings and his own solo material have secured his place as one of the most recognizable guitarists of his generation, and his close association with the 1959 Les Paul is part of why that instrument has become one of the most desirable in the world. In 2009 the Custom Shop paid tribute to this iconic guitar with a limited run of Tom Murphy aged reissues. This instrument is number 19 and includes all of the original paperwork and "Case Candy". The original owner upgraded the plastic components to Montreaux replacement parts from Japan and installed a phenomenal sounding pair of Virgil Arlo pickups making this guitar sound as good as it looks. A phenomenal Les Paul worthy of the legendary name associated with it!
