This is one for a player, but it has enough originality to rely on as the vintage classic that it is. It plays great and has that resonant ring you we all love. It sets up and plays well. The truss rod has rom for adjustment, and the neck feels great.

The body and neck show no breaks, which is great because many of these have neck and/or heel repairs.

The pickup is original, as are the pots. These components make the tone, along with the ultra light body of course.

Frets have been changed, as has the nut, and the work was done very well - the guitar plays great! The pickguard is a repro. The knobs appear to be changed. Strap buttons are a set of Dumlop strap locks.

The tuners are reproduction Klusons. The headstock has been modified to fit other tuners, probably a set of Grovers and no Schallers - no screw holes from the old tuners are visible. Whomever tackled the tuner hole work didn't do a great job. It appears that the peghead veneer was damaged in the process. At some point, a luthier overs prayed the front and back of the headstock. The over spray is really hard to notice - that work was done well. An old Leo Quann Badass bridge is on the guitar in place of the original.

There are also two areas that were touched up on the sides of the neck, from the nut to the third fret. These areas are small, but if you check the pictures carefully you'll see them. I can't see why this was done. There is no stress or cracking in this area. My guess is that perhaps the original finish checking there was bothering someone so they had it touched up to even it out? Who knows.

The guitar comes with a pretty poor old case that I'm including just to have something to contain the guitar in during shipping. Don't depend on the case for use when you get it. It's a strange chipboard/hardshell hybrid and it has seen better days!
