1976 Gibson SG Standard Walnut

This 1976 Gibson SG Standard in a classic Walnut finish offers the unmistakable tone and feel that made the SG a stage favorite for generations. Built during Gibson’s Norlin era, this SG features a solid mahogany body and neck that provides resonance at a very comfortable 6 pounds, 12.5 ounces.

The slim taper neck and low action deliver smooth playability\, while the iconic dual-horned body ensures easy upper-fret access. A must-have for vintage guitar enthusiasts and collectors looking for genuine Gibson tone and style from the mid-‘70s.

The pickups are Seymour Duncans, a '59 in the neck and an unlabeled/unknown model in the bridge position.  One of the tone pots is dated to 1976, and the other to 1978, though both look like they have original solder joints.  The other two pots look original, and the solders there are changed as the pickup swap required new soldering.

The knobs, bridges, pickguard, tuners, jack, switch, and truss rod cover are original.  One strap button is original, the other is changed.

The guitar plays perfectly.  The guitar was professionally refretted, which is an upgrade over the original frets, which are commonly very low from the factory.  

There is some honest wear here and there, but no breaks or repairs. 

The original case is included.
