2012 Gibson Thunderbird IV Sunburst with Original Hardshell Case

Summary: Dual ceramic magnet humbuckers churn out high output and truckloads of bottom end, while neck-through-body construction and a 3-point bridge give this bass guitar unending sustain. Since its genesis in the 1960s, the Thunderbird Bass has been a hard rock legend. Today, the celebrated low-end growl and hot-rod looks of the T-Bird Bass can be yours with this Gibson Thunderbird Bass. This bass is in excellent used condition and ships in its original hard-shell case. It has just been setup by our in house guitar tech and it is playing great with low action and a straight neck.

Body: Mahogany wings on either side of the raised through-body 9-piece neck. Nitrocellulose lacquer vintage sunburst finish.

Neck: 9 piece neck through body mahogany/walnut construction, rosewood fingerboard, 20 medium jumbo frets, 12” radius, 34” scale length, 1.5” nut width, acrylic dot inlays and graph tech nut.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 humbucker pickups with black covers, 2 volumes, 1 tone, 3 point adjustable bridge, black hardware, Gotoh tuners, 3 ply w/b/w pickguard.

Cosmetics: This bass is in excellent used condition with close to zero wear on the instrument at all. It has been well-cared for all of its life and has never suffered any breaks, cracks or repairs.

Playability: Our in house guitar tech has just inspected and set up this bass and it is playing great with low action, straight neck and fresh strings.
