Description

Gibson produced violin family instruments beginning in 1939, through 1945, offering examples at varying price points. This model V-30, offered at $30, was a mid-level model, and one of only 89 ever made. The quality of materials and workmanship of the instrument is very high. The neck, back and sides are tiger-stripe maple, and the top spruce. The condition is almost as it left the factory. Additionally, the accompanying bow is stamped 'Gibson', and the case is the red/black striped tweed case desired by so many Gibson fans. Considering the look and condition of the violin, the bow, and the case, this is as nice a vintage outfit as one could hope to find.
