Description

For a decade or so now, Gil has been building incredibly accurate and highly desireable replicas of classic Fender and Gibson designs. More recently, Gil has begun building guitar models which capture the desirable qualities of the originals, while also improving on them with designs that are all his own. One of his efforts is the Gil Yaron Bone, a line of guitars which now includes the Bone 1, the Bone H and the Bone 59 models.

Offered here is a Bone 59, the Bone version which most closely replicates the specifications, feel and performance of the iconic 50's Gibson Les Paul Standard. Like a Les Paul, this guitar has a solid body made of old growth Mahogany with a reclaimed figured Maple top. The neck is also made of Mahogany, with a very soft V to C shape and depth measurements of .900" at the first fret increasing to .990" at the twelfth fret. The bound Brazilian Rosewood fretboard has a 12" radius, .100" x .0 50" fret wire, Nitrate trapezoid inlays and a 1.675" Nu-Bone nut. It's T-O-M style bridge and tailpiece mimic the layout of an LP. For electronics, the Bone 59 is equipped with Gil's version of vintage PAF-style humbuckers with premium wiring and Yaron paper-in-oil caps. This incredible 2016 Bone 59 weighs just 8.35 pounds and is perfectly balanced. This guitar is finished in Washed Cherry Burst nitrocellulose lacquer.

As with the highly-sought LP replicas Gil used to build, close your eyes while playing this guitar and your senses will tell you are playing a vintage Les Paul Standard of the highest order. The tone is to die for and the playability is beyond reproach. Nothing currently being built by Gibson comes even close.

This guitar is brand new and mint just as it was received from Gil. It comes to you in a Gator brand TSA case, Gil's choice for the best in protection for his precious Bone builds. Other dealers offer this exact model for up to $10,950 but this brand new example can be yours for a cool grand $ less. The Bone is Gil Yaron's work at it's best. Make this fabulous Bone 59 yours today!
