1989 G&L ASAT Classic Signature Blonde
Here is yet another gorgeous piece from our recently-acquired G&L collection. This ASAT Classic shows virtually zero signs of being played and when you see white Maple on the neck, you know you have a true "closet king!"
The twin single coils on this ASAT produce a tone that will make a Tele guy's eyes well up. Just when I thought Leo couldn't improve on his classic Telecaster design, he went ahead and did it. The see-thru blond color is simply gorgeous and reveals a beautifully-grained Ash body. The neck has a medium "C" shaped profile that is exceptionally comfortable on the 'ol left hand and the weight is more than tolerable at 8 lbs, 4 oz.
We've been continually impressed with this latest batch of G&L guitars as they have revealed the true quality and craftsmanship Leo was putting out in the late-'80s and early '90s. This guitar is no exception and comes with its original hardshell case and paperwork. The guitar has been cleaned, restrung with fresh strings and set up so it will arrive dialed in and ready to go. "Classic." There could not be a more fitting word...
