Serial #AD523070...Very nice Westerly RI Guild guitar from the early 90s. Indian rosewood back and sides with a spruce top (all solid), ebony board and bridge. The guitar is all original in very good condition cosmetically and excellent functional condition. The DV-52 was originally designed to mimic earlier 'vintage' instruments, and has scalloped traditional X bracing under the spruce top. This example has had a couple of repairs, the back has an edge ding to the rosewood on the lower back and a crack repair of about 4". The guitar has no other cracks. The guitar has also just had the bridge reglued and has been set up. The frets show minor wear but nothing that requires immediate attention. The neck is straight under tension and the truss rod functions properly, the top is flat under tension as well. The finish is clean, showing just a few dings and nicks from 30 years of handling but way less than typical for a guitar of this age. The action measures 6/64" at the low E at the 12th fret and 5/64" at the high E, quite low and comfortable, with about 3/32" of saddle showing above the slot. The intonation is good all over the neck. The guitar has a big, bright voice with lots of volume. Comes with a chip board case.
