Early 1965 Starfire bass. One of the best sounding/best playing short scale basses out there!
This thing is a monster, acoustically it just sounds huge and piano chimey. Plugged in, it's aggressive and in your face tone. Allen Woody from Govt. Mule loved these... This one is in rocked out condition. Had a recent pro headstock repair. (Won't crack there again!)
The finish is missing in places and looks like it may have seen water damage at some point. Doesn't diminish the roadworthiness of this awesome player bass. The fretwear does not match the rest of the external wear. The frets are still in amazing shape on what appears to be a brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Knobs replaced and missing thumb rests.
