1967 Guild X-50 Sunburst, Good, Soft, $999.99

Summary: This is a beautiful full bodied 1967 Guild X-50 with a wonderful sunburst finish & a ton of character & tone. This archtop electric guitar is a great example of simplicity & quality that is going strong – even 50 years down the line.

Body: Fully bound archtop acoustic/electric with a spruce top & mahogany back & sides & two f-holes. This instrument measures 16.5” wide at the lower bout, 11.75” at the upper bout & it is about 3” deep.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 20 frets, 24.75” scale length, 1 5/8” nut width. The frets are in pretty good shape and they still have plenty of life left in them.

Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, one vintage single coil pickup, one volume knob, one tone knob, trapeze Guild tailpiece, adjustable rosewood bridge, pearloid dot inlays, black knobs with silver tops, 3-in-line tuning keys, original truss rod cover

Cosmetics: This vintage instrument has been played but the original owner took good care of it. There are some dings & nicks on the body, buckle rash on the back, some wear around the edges of the the guitar including the headstock & the back of the neck– all wear is consistent with a well-played and loved guitar from the mid 1960’s.

Playability: This vintage Guild plays great – the action is comfortable & the adjustable bridge still has a little room to make it lower if needed. We set this guitar up with 10’s and it plays well up & down the fingerboard.
