Late 1960’s Harmony H64 Meteor

Summary: The Harmony Meteor was an attempt to capture some of the Gibson ES model success in the 1960’s. This instrument has wonderful binding & a beautiful vintage sunburst finish.

Body: Double cutaway semi-hollow with really beautiful segmented fully bound f-holes and a fully bound top & back.

Neck: Bolt on maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, original tuning keys, pearloid dot inlays and original truss rod cover. Scale length- 24 ¼ Nut Width- 1 ¾”

Pickups/Hardware: 2 "enlarged mustache" pickups, Bigsby vibrato unit, pearloid dot inlays, 20 frets, original tuning keys with white buttons, floating bridge with adjustable saddles, 3 way toggle switch, 2 volumes and 2 tones.

Cosmetics: There are some small cracks in the binding on the neck around the fret ends as well as a crack in the side of the treble side that seems stable (see pics). The back also has a few dings. There is a fair amount of nicks and scratches around the body, consistent with a well-played but well-kept instrument. It looks really nice considering its age.

Playability: We put a new set of 10’s on this vintage guitar & it plays really well – the action is low & the bridge can be adjusted to fit the player needs.

Weight: 6 lbs, 6 oz.

Case: This vintage Harmony will ship in an aftermarket Epiphone hard shell case.
