Historic 1967 Fender Mustang guitar neck with 66 Daphne Blue Music Master body, owned and used extensively by Leo Fender for his hands on personal use to demonstrate working prototypes of research & development ideas post CBS while still employed by Fender. It was at this time he invented and introduced the later controversial 3 bolt neck plate design with the built in tilt adjustment, this guitar has a working hand made prototype of the three bolt with tilt adjust neck plate and and an unknown unique prototype vibrato system with very promising attributes. The crude but well made prototype three bolt neck plate that appears on this guitar is exactly like the one that went into production and was used on Fender Strats and other models with mixed results but has now settled in to become part of Fender's stable of innovative ideas. A unique tremolo system appears on this mutt of a shop guitar, not one we've seen used in production but very interesting and certainly one never produced. A historic piece with perfect provenance, was on loan to and displayed at the Fender Museum. Comes with tons of paperwork including a 25K value from Mandolin Brothers, a must for any serous collection or museum Only, $11999. Thanks, VGA
