Description

Summary: This vintage Heavy Metal machine is a Jackson USA built in 1987 in the San Dimas factory with a serial number of 2250! This Jackson has a really striking color that stands out in a room of vintage guitars & it plays and sounds great.

Body: Solid body double cutaway electric guitar

Neck: Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, original Jackson tuning keys, dot inlays. The scale length is 25.5” and the nut width is 1 5/8”. The jumbo frets are in good shape and have a ton of life left in them.

Pickups/Hardware: This Jackson comes with a USA Kahler locking tremolo system that was an option from the factory in 1987, 2 single coil pickups and one humbucker. Master volume knob and 3 toggle switches. The whammy bar on this baby is chrome so it probably is not the original bar.

Cosmetics: The finish on this guitar is so cool that any imperfections are easy to ignore, however, there is normal wear with some small dings and scratches on the body consistent with an instrument that has been played and loved for over 30 years. The back of the guitar shows more wear than the front with various dings & nicks and signs of buckle rash. The back of the neck is starting to build up coloration from being played as well and there is also some noticeable wear around the edges of the headstock. Structurally this instrument is completely sound and ready to rock!

Playability: This is a great playing Jackson guitar! The neck is thin and the action is low – the guitar plays with no buzzing or dead spots. We set this baby up with 10’s so if you wanted it to play even faster & easier you could swap it out with 9’s.
