Description

One of the very coolest Kalamazoo Gibsons we’ve ever seen. By the factory order number stamped inside would seem to be from 1942, though the accepted code stops at 1941 but really no matter. Seems to be a KGN-12 Oriole model but without the little birdie decal on the peghead, way better in our book; total Gibson L-0/L-00 body shape, typical Kalamazoo economy bracing and all the unique, incomparable tone that goes with it. Very cool maple back and sides with the very coolest finish ever, just jumps out and wraps its arms around you, says I love you; genuine mahogany neck; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge of course with what appears to be original uncut bone saddle; original tuners with cool black buttons; original ebony nut, original frets, all in fine condition. Neck reset by parties unknown, quite nicely done, all adding up to a great feeling action. Even has the nicer true Gibson peghead shape, rarely seen on these. LOTS of 1930s-40s music rushing out of this guitar every time you pick it up. $2995 w/hsc
