Kent Armstrong Archtop Pickup & Pickguard

An archtop pickguard with Kent Armstrong pickup mingled on it, all ready to go! No idea who made the pickguard but it’s quite nicely done, complete with side bracket. The pickup has six adjustable pole-piece screws, something I’ve not seen on other of Kent’s pickups. Custom? Could be. It came to me from someone who had originally had it on a Gibson L-50 so to should fit the thousands of other Gibsons and Gibson-types out there. I can say that this pickup is hot, surprised the heck out of me when I plugged it in. I knew Kent’s father, Danny Armstrong, he of the famed Plexiglas guitars from the 1960s; I worked with Dan on designing those, hand-built the prototypes for him in 1968. Danny was a genius at hot-rodding electric guitars and it would follow that Kent has inherited quite a bit of his Dad’s genius. Jazz it up for only $195
