Description

Solid mahogany back and sides, Adirondack spruce top, ebony fret board and bridge, pre-war forward shifted scalloped top bracing and hide glue construction throughout. The Adirondack spruce top is very tight grained at the center and is very well quartered. The neck has a 2 way adjustable truss rod and 1 3/4" nut width, combined with a soft "V" profile. The pin spacing at the bridge is 2 5/16". The body is bound in tortoise with simple b/w/b line purflings around top and back. The guitar was built in 2013 and sold new at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. It has come back to the shop on consignment. It is in very good shape, it has one top ding through the finish and a few superficial finish scrapes and scratches but nothing significant, no cracks/damage or repairs. The guitar is set up with action measuring 7/64" at the low E and 6?64" at the high E with 1/8" of saddle showing. The neck is straight under tension of medium strings, frets show very minor wear but not enough to require any work at the moment. The guitar has a big, loud voice that is excellent for flat picking and bluegrass ensemble play, you will definitely be heard with this one! Excellent, open and woody. Comes with a Geib style hardshell case, the handle is replaced but otherwise the case is in good shape. $2750
