Description

Offered here is a very early example of the Lentz DL 90 (Dual L-90) built in 2006. The DL 90 is the Lentz take on an early LP Special with dual P-90's, pickups which gave the original a thick tone with greater output and a fatter midrange than a comparable single coil equipped guitar. In this guitar Scott and Scotty use their own L-90 pickups, which are specially wound for each individual instrument guitar, to produce a unique and very cool guitar which is perfect for blues and jazz music alike.

This DL 90 has a solid body core which is made of Swamp Ash which was then covered with a veneer of Mahogany on the back and sides and flamed Maple with binding on the top. This beauty has a total weight of just 6.6 pounds! The neck is a single piece of Rock Maple with a very soft V-shape and depth measurements of .92" at the first fret increasing to 1.00" at the twelfth fret. It has a very dark East Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 9.5" radius, 6105 fretwire, gorgeous MOP inlays and a 1.687" bone nut. It has a Gotoh hardtail bridge with KTS Titanium saddles. Electronics include the aforementioned Lentz L-90 pickups along with a volume control for each pickup, a master tone knob and a three-way toggle switch.

If you love P-90's, a big neck profile and can't decide between an LP and a Tele, the Lentz DL 90 may be the guitar for you. Cranked or clean, this guitar seems to read your mind.

This guitar shows a few cosmetic boos which are pictured, but nothing serious. The neck and frets are in excellent condition. It comes in it's original blonde G&G hardshell case.

As I have said many times before, get yourself a Lentz. You will be VERY glad you did!
