Description

Scott and Scott Jr. of Lentz guitars are great people. They know how much I love their work and often think of me when they have a guitar to spare. This gorgeous and recently completed DL90 is one such guitar. The customer for whom it was intended could not complete the purchase (or something along those lines) and the men from Lentz made it available to me. For this I am very grateful!

This DL 90 is made from a single piece of light weight Swamp Ash. The top and back have been bound with tortoise shell nitrate and the guitar has been given a clear nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It has a total weight of just 6.6 pounds! The neck is a single piece of Rock Maple with a very soft V-shape and depth measurements of .88" at the first fret increasing to 1.00" at the twelfth fret. It has a very dark East Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 9.5" radius, 6105 fret wire, clay dot inlays and a 1.655" bone nut. It has a Gotoh hardtail bridge with Titanium saddles. Electronics include the aforementioned Lentz L-90 pickups along with a volume control for each pickup, a master tone knob and a three-way toggle switch.

If you love P-90's, a big neck profile and can't decide between an LP and a Tele, the Lentz DL 90 may be the guitar for you. Cranked or clean, this guitar seems to read your mind. The tone of this guitar is fat with Tele twang and it plays divinely!

This guitar was only recently completed and is in near mint condition. It shows only the lightest of handling wear which can only be detected under extremely close inspection. The frets are flawless. It comes in it's original blonde G&G hardshell case.

Built for you today with these specifications this guitar would cost you $4,600. Get this near new and near flawless example for more the $1K less. Get yourself a Lentz handbuilt guitar. You will be very, very glad you did!
