Description

Offered is another fabulous T-style guitar from Lentz. We sold this instrument a few years ago and just took it back in a trade deal.

This Traditional T was built in 2009 and includes the following specifications: a two piece Swamp Ash body with a Mary Kay nitro finish and a total guitar weight of just 7.0 pounds; a one-piece maple neck with very soft V to C shape, depth measurements of .920" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th; a 9.5" fretboard radius, 6105 frets and a 1.655" bone nut; a mix of Lentz and Gotoh hardware; a lacquered black pickguard; and for electronics, Lentz custom single coils, an Alnico 3 in the neck and an Alnico 5 in the bridge, matching pots with paper & oil caps, a 3-way selector and master volume and tone controls.

Like virtually every Lentz I've had the pleasure to play, this is one killer instrument. If your tastes tend toward vintage Fender instruments, you can't go wrong with a Lentz guitar. This guitar has the sound and the vibe of a vintage Tele, but it plays so much better! Scott and Scott Jr. have figured out how to consistently produce extremely high quality electric guitars at relatively affordable prices.

This guitar is a great player and it's cosmetic condition is evidence of that. The thin nitrocellulose finish shows various small chips and there is a shallow impression in the back of the neck near the first fret (see photo) which you can barely feel when playing. The frets, however, are in superb condition. It ships in it's original G&G case is excellent condition.

This is not a pristine example for a collector, but a super-high quality expression tool for a musician who wants one of the best playing and sounding T-style guitars available. Get yourself a Lentz. You will be very glad you did!
