Description

You don't see Lentz Tele-style guitars on the used market very often, and for good reason. They are such great guitars that they get snapped up pronto. Offered here is a rare Lentz Traditional T completed in October, 2019.

This beauty has a two piece Ash body, is finished in Sonic Blue nitro lacquer and has a total weight of just 7 pounds, 5 ounces. It has a one-piece Maple neck with the Lentz (very) soft V-shaped neck and depth measurments of .88" at the first fret increasing to 1.00" at the twelfth fret. The lovely Indian Rosewood fingerboard is so dark it almost looks like Ebony, along with a 12" radius, 6105 frets and a 1-11/16" bone nut. The pickups include a Lentz Alnico 5 single coil in the neck spot and an Alnico 2 in the bridge, with output readings of 8.16k and 10k, respectively. It has a traditional Tele control setup and modern wiring. It uses a very high quality Lentz brand Tele-style bridge with brass saddles.

I haven't had a Lentz T in stock in quite awhile and I'd almost forgotten how damn good they are! This thing cooks, almost playing itself! It is light weight, well balanced and just feels great in your hands. And the tone you get is superb sounding, classic Tele twang. Just check out the brief sound sample provided.

A ding on the upper bout (see photo) is the only flaw of any significance on this guitar. Otherwise it is in near mint condition, frets included. It comes in it's original white G&G case which has a small tear in the tolex on the bottom as shown, along with a fretboard protector and spec sheet. The springs on the case latches are a bit sticky too.

This instrument cost the original owner $4,250 just a few months ago, but the search for seasonal liquidity (holiday cash) makes this 2019 example available for your purchase at a significant discount. Make it yours while you can! A fantastic holiday gift to yourself!
