Lovely Custom Shop 00-18S (12 fret, slot head) that combines vintage and modern specs into one great guitar. Solid mahogany back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top (exceptionally well quarter sawn, showing heavy medullary rays or “silking” in the grain, very straight and even grain), scalloped traditional X pattern top bracing, mahogany neck, ebony fret board with abalone dot position markers, and an ebony 'straight' bridge with vintage style long saddle slot. The body is bound in tortoise and the pickguard is tortoise as well. Open gear 'antique' finish tuners that are replicas of vintage Waverlys adorn the headstock. The neck width at the nut is 1 3/4” (rather than the more traditional 1 7/8” nut that was customarily used on vintage Martin 12 fretters) and the pin spacing is 2 3/16”. Has a strap button installed at the heel. The guitar plays easily, set up with action at 7/64” at the low E and 6/64” at the high E with plenty of saddle showing to lower the action if desired. The tone is crisp and woody with good projection and articulation. Comes with 500 series hard case. Ships to US only, no international shipping offered. I generally ship by UPS and will ship an item within 48 hours (usually the next day) of having received or cleared payment. Exact shipping costs will be added to the total for the buyer once the buyer has provided a shipping address. I insure everything for fulll purchase price.
Items are sold with a 48 hour approval period unless clearly marked "AS IS" in the listing. AS IS items are not returnable. If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
