Brazilian (of course), VG++. As you can see there were 5 top tracks in the nice wide-grained Sitka spruce top that looks like kind of like Adirondack. They were repaired and cleated long ago. Original bridge plate (hide glue of course) and a recent next set (you're welcome) that saves you $500 to $600. It plays silky smooth with a tall bone saddle in a repro ebony bridge (well-done), the tone is just what you might dream it was by looking at and full of harmonics, wow! The solid bookmatched Brazilian rosewood is crack-free but some obvious wear in the original finish that you can see in photos. Deep coffee-colored streaks in the rosewood that still excite us even after all these years. But wait...what? You mean these didn't come standard with abalone butterflies inlaid into the top? The last owner figured she'd never sell it. And so it goes. We like this unique tattoo. It – and the tone – will help make you famous. Comes in a late '60s hard case. A real charmer.
