Description

Since Martin ukuleles have no serial numbers, in order to date them we need to rely on experience (identifying features such as binding type, tuner type, etc.), and anecdotal evidence form former owners. This particular Martin tenor uke came to us from a man who told us that it was given to his brother sometime in the late 1950s by CF Martin lll, as a gift. This man, definitely of an earlier generation, told us that he had fought in the Battle of the Bulge in WW II, and I believe him; he was as charmingly genuine as an older gentleman could possibly be. The uke itself is in most excellent original condition with hardly any playing wear, and no modifications or repairs ever having been done on it. Original tuners, genuine ivory saddle (!), the whole shebang. Martin hasn't made these in decades, and this one can be yours for only $1295 w/bag
