Description

Offered for sale is this drop dead gorgeous Martin Custom OM-41 Special. Built in 2012, the condition is exemplary and looks as though it just came from the Martin factory.

This gorgeous instrument has a 000-sized body, 14-fret neck and a 25.4" string scale. It has been given upscale cosmetics, including a Style 45 rosette and purfling, grained ivoroid body, neck and headstock binding, abalone pearl inlays and nickel Waverly butterbean tuners. It has a Sitka top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. It has a black ebony fretboard and belly bridge, Martin's modified V neck shape, 1-3/4" bone nut and 2-1/4" string spacing. This particular example was ordered from the Martin factory with a passive K&K pickup.

This is a fantastic OM guitar and it plays like a dream. It is setup with Elixir 80/20 Lights with 12th fret string heights of 5/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side. It has tons of headroom and is quite responsive to your playing style. The tone is nicely balanced across the tonal spectrum, with nice tight bass, lots of mids, nice clear highs and an overall tone that is warm and rich. Please check out the short sound sample provided.

This guitar appears to have seen little play and has no flaws of any significance and shows only the lightest of play and handling wear. The frets are spotless and the neck is straight as an arrow. It comes in a similarly nice Geib-style Martin case.

To order a similar guitar from Martin would cost upwards of $6K, but this near mint 2012 example can be had for $2K less. I buy quite a few Martin guitars for our inventory and I can tell you this OM-41 Special is quite "special" and worthy of your consideration. Make this beauty yours today! This one is sure to make someone quite happy!
