Ex-. The "S" stands for "special order" because in the '60s you had to ask to get the 1 & 3/4" nut width, 12th-fret neck joint, and open headstock (for better string tension). Very popular configuration for fingerstyle. The 12th-fret joint gives volume as more string is vibrating over the top - but you knew that. We put this instrument through our shop for a neck reset, refret, and a new Brazilian rosewood bridge. It had been well-played and consequently sounds great as a result. With these repairs, you just saved $900 - everything is fixed! A small boo-boo by the bridge (see photos), otherwise quite clean with original case. A rather rare model, all fixed up and sounds beautiful.
