1968 Martin D-28 "Natural"

The Martin D-28 is one of the most recorded flat top acoustic guitars in history. Favored by everyone from bluegrass players to rock n' rollers, the dreadnaught design, spruce top, and Brazilian Rosewood body give these instruments a sound that has become the gold standard of acoustic guitars. This beautiful Brazilian Rosewood example from 1960 was customized by its original owner with a personalized pickguard in the style of a Paul Bigsby or Semi Mosley modified instrument, and bears the name "Johnnie Hare". A truly unique instrument, this guitar has beautiful projection with a balanced tone making it ideal for recording. A hole in the side remains from where a previous owner had installed an input jack for a pickup, so it would be easy to add the electronics of your choice and make the ultimate stage guitar! The action is low and comfortable all the way up the fingerboard, and the guitar is free from any cracks or repairs. It includes the original Martin hardshell case.
